The Lead Beat
Mastering the bagpipes required more than musical technicality; it demanded the breath control, collective stamina, and leadership necessary to synchronize a high-pressure ensemble in front of thousands.

A Journey Beyond
My name is currently orbiting the Moon on NASA's Artemis mission, symbolizing my commitment to a future where limits don't exist.

Beyond the Canvas
Turning a creative discipline into a tool for community service.

Even a piece of clay can serve humanity
What started as a craft on the wheel turned into a simple way for me to serve the people around me.

Honor in Harmony
Participating in the traditional hat-raising ceremony at Lovedale’s Clock Tower taught me that leadership is rooted in heritage—it was a final, silent pledge of respect for the discipline and history that shaped our ensemble
A Journey shaped by Compassion,Creativity & Courage
My journey is not defined by a single achievement but by a quiet, consistent commitment to service, creativity, and leadership. With a calm presence and thoughtful perspective, Treya embodies a leadership style rooted in empathy and purposeful action.
The journey began not on a stage, but in the simple rhythms of family life — caring for younger sibling, spending time with grandmother & great-grandmother, and learning early that responsibility is not assigned, but embraced. These experiences instilled in me a Rock-Solid work ethic & nurtured my emotional intelligence, resilience, and grounded perspective.
While many discover leadership through recognition, I discovered it through service — through shaping clay, mentoring children, volunteering in hospitals, and engaging with communities both locally and globally.
My journey is one of composed calm, compassionate leadership, and meaningful impact.
What People Are Saying
EARLY EXPERIENCESMy early experiences were deeply shaped by family values, responsibility, and observation.Helping younger siblings with studies taught patience. Supporting elderly family members nurtured empathy. Managing a classroom or navigating a new place, these quiet responsibilities developed calm and composed leadership style.
Found creative sanctuary in pottery at The Lawrence School beginning in 2022Since 2022,the pottery studio at the Lawrence School has been my sanctuary-a masterclass in resillience & fine-motor precision.Developing the stamina to shape raw earth into delicate useful forms.
I transformed my artistic discipline into a sustainable social enterprise bridging ancient craft and modern community health. By leveraging handmade clay work,I raised funds for health equity for orphanages & people in need.
Working with clay taught mePatience and focusResilience when creations failedDiscipline and fine-motor precisionCalm problem-solvingPottery became more than an artistic outlet, it became a training ground for leadership

The Art of Patience
Refined my technical design skills at Planks and Paint DIY workshops in Loveland USA under the mentorship , applying principles of aesthetic balance and craftsmanship to create high-quality, hand-finished installations.

Craft with a Purpose
Five years at the wheel have taught me that clay cannot be rushed. Training at the Artisan Clay Store in Loveland USA wasn't just about making pottery; it was about the discipline of centering myself before centering the clay. Every piece is a lesson in persistence.

The Focus on Discipline
Refining my hand-thrown techniques through workshop.Mastering the chemistry of glazes and the physics of the wheel has turned a creative hobby into a lifelong technical craft. It’s where raw earth meets refined intention.
Artistic discipline soon evolved into service

Pottery taught me that a simple handmade bowl can hold much more than water—it can hold hope for someone in need.
I spent years learning to shape clay so that I could finally use my hands to help shape a better community.

I learned to center the clay so that I could use my art to help center my community.
What started as a hobby on the wheel became a way for me to give back, proving that even a piece of clay can serve humanity."

These workshops blend fun, learning, and action-packed strategies to unleash creativity and motivation.

The best thing my hands have made is a difference.

Every piece I sell builds a better community.
A showcase of what I do best.

What started as a curiosity in 2022 has grown into a five-year commitment to the wheel. Mastering hand-thrown clay techniques taught me that patience is as much a tool as the kiln itself. Over the years, I’ve moved beyond the studio, using my art for social impact by donating my art and pottery items to charity auctions or teaching & conducting workshops. This journey from a beginner to a disciplined artist has shown me how a traditional craft can be a powerful bridge to community service

Four Years in the School BandPipe Being a consistent member of the school band from 2023 to 2026 has been my greatest lesson in collective discipline. Whether we were practicing in the early morning cold or performing in front of thousands during Founder’s Day, I learned that a single missed beat affects the entire ensemble.Performing for massive crowds at Lovedale taught me to turn stage fright into focused energy. Beyond the music, it molded me into a better collaborator; you learn quickly that the goal isn't to be the loudest person on stage, but to be the one who listens best to the people around them. It’s been four years of finding my rhythm, both as a musician and a teammate.

The Power of Voice
I view communication as a tool for advocacy, focusing in the intersection of public health, technology & ethics.

Public Speaking & Event Hosting
Demonstrated leadership as Master of Ceremonies at major events.
PANACHE 2023The Lawrence School Lovedale’s premier Junior School showcase I served as the Master of Ceremonies and lead representative
There is a specific kind of adrenaline that comes with standing on the Lovedale stage in Ooty, realizing that the success of a two-hour show depends on your next sentence. Serving as the Anchor for Panache was my first real lesson in public leadership. I realized that my role wasn’t just to announce the next act, but to bridge the gap between the performers’ hard work and the audience’s expectations. It turned my passion for words—usually kept to my poetry—into a tool for real-time community engagement.

Future-Ready InquiriesDebate Participation 2024
Debate on "Is AI Killing Creativity?"
Academic discussions on ethics and technologyIn 2024, I stood in front of the Senior School and a panel of guests to argue the 'unpopular' side of a high-stakes debate: that AI is not, in fact, killing human creativity.
To prepare for the hour-long session, I didn't just look at headlines. I spent weeks diving into the history of disruptive tech—comparing the current fear of AI to the 19th-century panic over the camera. I pulled few resources , explored the concept of 'Centaur Chess'—where humans and AI work together to achieve results neither could alone. I even interviewed our own Art and IT department heads to get their 'on-the-ground' perspective on how tools change the process, but not the spark.
Defending this position in a room full of hundreds of students and teachers taught me how to handle skepticism. I realized that the best way to win an argument isn't just with data, but by acknowledging the ethical fears of your audience while offering a more optimistic, grounded vision of the future."

The Harmony of Two Worlds
My musical journey began at the age of six, navigating the intricate microtones of Carnatic classical music alongside the structured scales of Western vocal tradition. What started as participation in local community events and celebrations evolved into a lifelong masterclass in discipline and adaptability.
Music has been more than a skill; it has been my framework for understanding the world. Whether performing a complex varnam or a choral masterpiece, I have learnt that music taught me that while grit gets me to the stage, it is collaboration that creates the masterpiece."

A note from parents!A Compass Guided by Curiosity and Care
From the time Treya was seven, we watched her turn her small crafts into a way to help others—not because she was told to, but because she couldn't stand to see a need go unmet. Whether she is lost in a classic novel, pushing for a personal best in the pool, or perfecting a piece of pottery, there is a quiet, steady discipline in everything she touches.
Her love for travel and global cuisines has given her a deep respect for different cultures, but it’s her empathy that defines her. Seeing her translate that same focus into her dream of becoming a physician feels like a natural evolution. To Treya, medicine isn't just a career path; it's the ultimate way to combine her scientific curiosity with the lifelong commitment to service she started as a child. We couldn't be prouder of the healer she is becoming."
